Easy Storm Sewer Design and Modeling StormCAD provides comprehensive modeling for the design and analysis of storm sewer systems. StormCAD is FEMA-approved and provides calculations for catchment runoff, gutters, inlets, junctions, pipe networks, and outfalls, and its intuitive interface makes the design and analysis of storm sewer systems easier than ever. You can choose to run StormCAD directly within MicroStation, PowerCivil for North America, AutoCAD, or as a stand-alone product. StormCAD includes automated constraint-based design, scenario and data management, and reporting capabilities. INTEROPERABILITY New support for OpenRoads-based products: You can now run StormCAD from within the upcoming release of OpenRoads-based products. Updated support for MicroStation: You can run StormCAD from within the latest releases of MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3). A MicroStation license is required – if you don't have a MicroStation license, you can choose to run StormCAD in stand-alone mode. Updated support for AutoCAD: You can run StormCAD from within AutoCAD 2016 and 2015. An AutoCAD license is required – if you don't have an AutoCAD license, you can choose to run StormCAD in stand-alone mode. New support for MicroDrainage: MicroDrainage model files can be imported in StormCAD. HYDRAULICS Lateral elements: Include lateral pipes in hydraulic models without the need to split the pipes they connect to. Improvements to automated design: Ground elevations from terrain models may be used during an automated design run to consider cover along a pipe’s length. RESULTS Improvements to profiles: Terrain model elevations can now be added to profiles, improving result visualization and understanding of the physical network.
